Restaurant Week in DC

Hi Foodies!

We hope some of you had a chance to check out some deals last week during DC's Restaurant Week. We were able to try a few new dishes.
We loved the spicy calamari and slight sweet Palak Chaat appetizers at Rasika.
The duck confit salad at CoCo Sala was delcious. We also liked their unique offerings: instead of the typical appetizer, entree and dessert we got to choose a salad starter, two "Coco Bites", smaller portion, tapas-sized dishes and got a trio of decadent chocolate desserts. We tried the Bacon Mac and Cheese and the Shrimp Mac and Cheese, as well as they Bleu Cheese Beef Slider and the Moroccan Swordfish slider. All were tasty, though we don't know if any mini burger can replace a Matchbox mini burger in our hearts.

World's Best Mini Burger?

We love the Mac and Cheese trend (who doesn't love a decadent dish of cheese and carbs?), so we're teaching you how to make Mac and Cheese Made Gourmet 3 Ways in a class at Cookology!

How were your restaurant week reservations? Try any outstanding dishes? Disappointed with any duds? Let us know in the comments!

And don't forget, a lot of restaurants (including faves like Cafe Atlantico and Hook) are extending their restaurant week deals throughout February.
